Jana Kramer has found her happily ever after, which is the ideal outcome.
During a Thursday episode of her “Whine Down with Jana Kramer” podcast, the country singer and “One Tree Hill” alum disclosed her engagement to former soccer player Allan Russell.
“I’ve had a few things that I haven’t talked about because I just want to do it when I’m ready, and so I have an announcement today,” Kramer said. “Allan and I have been dαting for six-and-a-half months, and he asked me to marry him.”
Kramer described Russell’s proposal as taking place at a pool party when the couple and Kramer’s children took a break from the festivities to walk to their new home. Russell proposed to Kramer while sitting on the front porch stairs of the residence.
“Jolie just started jumping up and down,” Kramer recounted, referring to her daughter’s reaction to Russell’s proposal. “It’s as if she knew what was going on.”

Kramer noted that the proposal was made even more meaningful because it occurred at the couple’s future home.
“We just started crying, and it felt very sentimental, given the new house’s front porch and new beginnings.” “It just felt right,” remarked Kramer. “We were supposed to be in Jamaica, but something went wrong with the resort, so we ended up staying here, which is exactly what I would have wanted.”
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Russell reminisced about his engagement and relationship with Kramer.
“A forever with you just feels right and has done since the day I met you,” Russell wrote. “I’m proud to call you my fiancée and cherish every minute we spend together. I love you my little warrior.”
Kramer’s engagement comes after her recent divorce from ex-NFL player Mike Caussin. After six years of marriage, the pair filed for divorce in April 2021.
Kramer stated that she had previously discussed the importance of her relationship with Russell with Caussin. “(Mike) already knew that (Allan) is going to be my partner whether we get married, engaged, or whatever,” she explained.
Kramer and Caussin married in 2015, and they have two children: Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4. The 36-year-old football veteran has a history of cheating on his wife.

The couple divorced in 2016 after it was revealed that Caussin had been cheating on Kramer. Later, the two reconciled and stated they were working on their marriage.
Kramer stated that her ex-husband reacted positively to the news of her engagement.
“He was like, ‘Hey, I’m really happy for you. Allan’s a great guy,’ ” Kramer said. “I started to cry ’cause he goes, ‘Of all people, you deserve to have someone that loves you and respects you, and you deserve this after everything I put you through.’ … And it meant so much to me that he said that.”
