Ja Rule was a co-organizer of the “Fyre Festival,” a music festival set to take place on a private island in the Bahamas at the end of April 2017. The event was a complete failure. Participants who paid thousands of dollars for their tickets were left stranded on a garbage-strewn gravel lot with little food and only FEMA disaster tents as accommodations for their stay. By the time festival-goers arrived on the island, many of the scheduled musical acts had already withdrawn from the event due to the weather.
