Warnock received $120,965 for his job as a preacher in 2021 in addition to his $164,816 senate pay, which he could take advantage of thanks to a Senate loophole. He received a $243,750 advance for his future book, “A Way Out of No Way.” Some people were offended by the $89,000 housing benefit he received from the church.

Ouluye Ndoye’s 11-page filing, which refers to an arrangement she made with Warnock while he was running for the U.S. Senate in early 2020, asks a judge to give her more time with their two young children so she may finish a Harvard University program. Warnock’s child support obligations are also requested to be reassessed in light of his “substantial” rise in income following his victory.
After gaining office, he has kept his position as the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. The February allegation was made while Warnock is vying for a full six-year term. In January 2021, as part of a Democratic sweep that resulted in the Senate taking over the Democratic Party, he won a special election runoff. Control of the chamber may once again depend on his reelection campaign in November.
He is “a committed father who is proud to continue co-parenting his two children as he works for the people of Georgia,” according to Warnock spokesperson Meredith Brasher. During his final election campaign, a March 2020 incident between Warnock and Ndoye—while their divorce petition was still pending—came under examination. After a violent fight outside her townhouse, Ndoye informed Atlanta police officers that he ran over her foot with his car. After he rejected her claims, she called him a “wonderful actor.”
Medical examiners did not discover any apparent foot injuries, and Warnock was not charged with any crimes. In March 2020, Warnock informed the AJC that the claims made by Ndoye “didn’t happen.” The most recent filing relates to a child custody agreement settled in April 2020 when he was running for the U.S. Senate.
These agreements frequently specify that one spouse cannot take children out of state, albeit the specifics are kept hidden. She argued in court records that since she intended to attend Harvard University full-time for two years, the judge should reconsider the child support issues.
After Warnock’s victory, she asserted that there had been a “substantial change of circumstances regarding the welfare of the children,” and she claimed in the filing that her ex-husband hadn’t reimbursed her for some child care expenses she had incurred during the time he was supposed to be with the children.
The filing specifically mentioned a few weekdays when Warnock was supposed to be in charge of the kids per the arrangement but is currently unable to do so due to his Senate obligations. In the petition, it is said that “(Warnockfailure )’s to reimburse (Ndoye) has left (Ndoye) in a financial bind, leaving the children in her care when she ought to be concentrating on work- and school-related obligations.”
Ndoye added that Warnock “has frequently been coupled by a protracted inquiry regarding the value of and need for the services done” whenever she has been reimbursed. To challenge Warnock in November, several Republicans are vying for the Republican nomination on May 24. Herschel Walker, a former football star with a history of violence against women and unstable behaviour that has marred his campaign, is the most well-known GOP contender.

The second-to-youngest of Verlene and Jonathan Warnock’s twelve children, Raphael Gamaliel Warnock was born on July 23, 1969, in Savannah, Georgia, to a Pentecostal couple. His father served in World War II and used the knowledge gained to run a salvage and repair business for automobiles.
In 1991, Warnock earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with honors from Morehouse College. He attained a number of advanced degrees throughout the years, including a Master of Divinity, a Master of Philosophy, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Union Theological Seminary.

Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York was the site of Warnock’s first appointed position in the church. Then, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was appointed senior pastor at Douglas Memorial Community Church. In 2005, he was selected to serve as the senior pastor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s former congregation, Ebenezer Baptist Church.
From 2016 to 2020, Warnock and Oulèye Ndoye were married and had two kids. Recently, they have been embroiled in a custody and support fight. He is at present a resident of Atlanta.
