Meghan Trainor is switching gears from “All About That Bass” to “All About That Bassinet”! The famous singer and her husband, Daryl Sabara, expect their second child together.
This summer, Meghan Trainor will give birth to her second child. The US singer, 29, confirmed to People:
“What a blessing. I’m just so grateful I can get pregnant. And I’m like, ‘I’m crushing it. This is amazing. This is my dream.’”
After welcoming son Riley in 2021, this will be Trainor’s second child with husband and Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara. Trainor recently talked about her desire to have even more kids. Trainor added:
“I’m halfway there — I want four kids!”
On Monday morning’s episode of the Today Show, the Made You Look singer continued to talk about her pregnancy and admitted that telling her son about it had been more complicated.
Trainor explained via video link:
“We try to tell him, ‘There’s a baby in the belly,’ but then he points to his belly now and is like, ‘Baby,’”
“And we’re like, ‘Oh no, it’s not in yours — it’s in Mama’s belly!’”
The expecting celebrity claimed that she had been able to conceal her pregnancy by donning hoodies throughout the previous few months.

Compared to her previous pregnancy, Trainer has said that this one has been a “rocky journey.” The Grammy-winning artist told people:
“It’s like a real pregnancy. The first one was like make-believe. I got my symptoms late in my pregnancy with Riley.
“I got them a right away with this baby. I got red perioral dermatitis all over my face — so that’s been fun with makeup — and popped early and was very nauseous. I was sick, my boobies were aching. This one was a ride.
“It was a rocky ride, but luckily it was during the holidays, so I could just chill and lay down. I pee every 20 minutes, and I’m fully out of breath just from talking. It’s great.”
The news of Trainor’s pregnancy precedes the publication of her book, Dear Future Mama, in which she candidly discusses her experiences as a pregnant woman. At the same time, experts in the medical and health fields also weigh in on the topic.
Regarding the book published on April 25, Trainor added:
“I’m a transparent person who enjoys sharing all of my dirty secrets and unpleasant realities with everyone.
“When someone goes, ‘Oh my God, me too,’ then it makes me feel like I’m not alone, and I’m like, ‘I’m not weird, my body’s not different. It’s normal.’”

Although Meghan and Spy Kids actor Daryl Sabara started dating in 2016, it wasn’t long before Daryl proposed to Meghan. After becoming engaged in 2017, the pair wed in a private ceremony in the garden of their Los Angeles home.
Sharing photographs of their stunning nuptials on Instagram, Meghan penned: “Can’t believe I found you again … never letting you go.”
