High On Life Release Date In December 2022

High On Life is a game you should keep an eye on if you like bold and weird games. This weird Xbox and PC-only shooter were announced earlier this year, and it is expected to come out during the holiday season of 2022. It looks like it will be one of the strangest games ever made. We wouldn’t expect anything less from Justin Roiland, who helped make Rick and Morty, and Squanch Games, the company he started in 2016.

High On Life Release Date

High On Life was supposed to come out on October 25, 2022. This was soon after it was first shown to the public earlier this year. But the game’s developer, Squanch Games, recently said that the game would be delayed for a short time so that the studio could “work to make High On Life the best game experience possible.”

Because of the delay, the game will now come out on December 13, 2022. Fans will have to wait a little longer to play High On Life, which is a bummer, but it’s not as long of a wait as many other 2022 game delays, which have pushed some release dates into 2023.

High On Life Platform

Since it was announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022, it shouldn’t be a surprise that High on Life is coming out on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It will also be on Xbox Game Pass from the start.

High on Life was announced as a Console Launch Exclusive, which means it’s unlikely to ever come out on PS4, PS5, or Switch. But there is a very small chance that this is a timed-exclusivity deal and that the game will come out on other consoles after a certain time. For now, though, it’s best to think that the upcoming adventure will only be available for Xbox and PC players.

So far, we’ve seen three trailers: the one shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, a behind-the-scenes clip in the Extended Showcase, and a gameplay trailer from Gamescom 2022.

The first trailer, which is just under two minutes long, shows off the game’s exciting art style, as well as a lot of gameplay footage and a silly sense of humor. The Gamescom 2022 gameplay trailer is three minutes long and gives us a close look at a boss fight in High on Life.

In the “behind-the-scenes” trailer, you can get a closer look at how the game was made and hear a lot about it.

High on Life Gameplay

Recent gameplay footage of High On Life from Gamescom 2022 makes us think that the shooter will have an action-adventure feel, letting players travel across the galaxy and kill various alien bounty targets (possibly in a non-linear way) as they get closer and closer to figuring out where the bad guy Garmantuous is.

On your journey, you’ll save different talking weapons and add each one to your collection. You’ll also meet a lot of strange and funny people along the way who may help you or work against you. You’ll also have chances to hunt down criminals from other planets for extra rewards.

Overall, it looks like the talking weapons in High on Life will be your main tools, both in and out of battle. You can shoot, stab, or otherwise kill enemies with these weapons, but they also have extra features that can be used in different ways. For example, Kenny, a pistol-like weapon, can shoot out a big glob of goo that can knock back enemies and objects so you can use them as platforms. The player’s melee weapon, Knifey, can be used to block enemy projectiles, tether and swing the player between grapple points, and open Lugloxes (containers with money and other loot). Like the boss fights in Borderlands, the boss fights in High On Life are with your bounty targets and require you to use your weapons well. One of these bosses, 9-Torg, a mean ant queen, was shown in gameplay footage at Gamescom 2022. During the fight, the player must use Knifey’s tether to swing from the ceiling and avoid the toxic goo in the boss arena while dealing damage to 9-Torg and her minions with Kenny.
