Ginny & Georgia season 2 is coming earlier than you think. The coming-of-age drama/mystery series made waves last year when it poked fun at Gilmore Girls in its first teaser trailer. It made even more noise as a controversial favorite with some infamous scenes (we’re looking at you, “Oppression Olympics” and “unfortunate Taylor Swift joke”). Still, the show quickly became a Netflix hit.
The show’s first season started in February 2021, and a month later, it was picked up for a second season. The first season had 10 episodes that told the story of a mother and daughter who moved to a small Massachusetts suburb and had to figure out how to live there. When Netflix shared a happy video about the renewal, the cast said there would be “more surprises, more living room parties, and more climbing through windows.” (Stand up, Marcus Hive.)
The showrunner and creator of Ginny & Georgia, Debra J. Fisher, and Sarah Lampert, thanked fans after the renewal. “We are so grateful for all the love and support you have shown Ginny and Georgia… We can’t wait for season 2 of Wellsbury.”
We, too, can’t wait! Below, you’ll find all the information you need about Ginny & Georgia’s second 2, including new and returning cast members, the date it will be available on Netflix, and a trailer and first-look photos.

Who Is In The Cast of Ginny And Georgia’s Season 2?
Ginny & Georgia has a cast with many different types of people, and the good news is that many of them will be back for season 2. Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey, who play Ginny and Georgia, will be back in their roles, as shown by photos they posted to Instagram from the set. Diesel La Torraca is also coming back. He plays Ginny’s little brother Austin.
So far, most of the cast has been confirmed to be back for the second season: Felix Mallard (Marcus Baker), Sara Waisglass (Max), Jennifer Robertson (Ellen, Marcus and Max’s mom), Mason Temple (Hunter Chen), Scott Porter (Mayor Paul Randolph and Georgia’s future fiancé), and Raymond Ablack (Joe).
Nathan Mitchell, who plays Georgia’s ex-husband and Ginny’s biological father Zion, and Humberly González, who plays Max’s love interest Sophie, are also set to return. Nikki Roumel, who plays the younger version of the main character, also confirmed on Instagram that she would be back. This means that there will be more flashbacks to Georgia as a teen.
Aaron Ashmore is a new cast member who should be added to the list. Aaron is best known for his roles in the TV shows Smallville and Locke & Key on Netflix. According to Deadline, he will play Gil Timmins, Georgia’s ex-boyfriend and the birth father of Austin. “When Georgia met Gil, his charm and good looks made her want to be with him,” Deadline says. “Gil had been out of Georgia’s life since he was charged with theft and sent to jail.” Gil will change things in Wellsbury, and we can’t wait to see it.

What Will The Ginny And Georgia Season 2 Be About?
Ginny & Georgia’s first season ended on a massive cliffhanger, which makes season 2’s plot very hard to follow. Just in case you don’t remember, the first season started at the beginning of 2021. In the last episode, Ginny and her little brother Austin run away from home on Marcus’ motorcycle. This happened after Ginny’s friends found out that Marcus and Ginny had been hooking up behind Hunter’s back after Marcus and Max had their fight as brothers and after Georgia seemed to get away with murder.
Will MANG be able to get back on its feet? How long before Georgia finds out that Austin and Ginny are gone? Who will go out and look for them? Will Georgia’s secret be found out at last?
In an interview with Seventeen in November 2021, actress Antonia Gentry talked about some of the drama that was coming up soon. “The stakes for season 2 are much higher than where we left off in season 1,” she said. “So, I think fans will see a lot of great tension, a lot of building up to the climax, and a few interesting characters.”
The official plot summary for season 2 was released by Netflix on December 1: “How do you live when you know your mother killed someone? Ginny will have to figure out how to do that. Ginny has to deal with the fact that her stepfather, Kenny, didn’t die of natural causes. She also has to deal with the fact that her stepmother, Georgia, not only killed, but she killed to protect Ginny. Georgia, on the other hand, would much rather forget about the past. She has a wedding to plan, after all! But Georgia’s past is funny because it never stays buried for long…” Whew. Buckle up, all of you!
Is There A First Look At Ginny And Georgia Season 2?
Ginny & Georgia season 2 will start on Netflix the same day seven first-look photos from the upcoming season are released. In the new pictures, we can see the M-N-G of MANG at school and hanging out, including what looks like a tense scene between Georgia and Ginny’s dad, Zion, Austin (who seems to have grown a lot! ), and the two Miller women, both with their boyfriends Marcus and Paul, and the two Miller women alone. Look at the new pictures down below.
