Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo has died at the age of 43. The rapper’s death seems to have been caused by drugs. Gangsta and her brother went to a local concert in Memphis last night. Sometime during the night, Gangsta’s brother started to overdose and had to be taken to the hospital.
Even though he was okay in the end, our sources say that people at the scene of Gangsta Boo’s death insist that drugs were found on her body and that a fentanyl-laced substance is likely to blame. We’ve heard that the police will start a formal investigation.
Also, an autopsy must be done to determine what caused the death.

The hip-hop star’s death was confirmed by her former labelmate DJ Paul, who posted a picture of her on Instagram as a kind of tribute. Several well-known artists posted messages of sympathy. No one knows for sure what happened when she died.

Gangsta Boo’s career began when she joined up with Paul, Juicy J, and the other founding members of the rap group, which included Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black, Koopsta Knicca, and others, in the 1990s. Gangsta Boo was one of the only female rappers in the crew, but she held her own and made her way for years as a member of T6M.
Gangsta also appeared on Three 6 Mafia’s first five studio albums, including their 1995 debut, “Mystic Stylez,” as well as other notable projects like “Chapter 1,” “When the Smoke Clears,” and the “Choices” soundtrack album.

Gangsta Boo left Three 6 in the early 2000s, but he had a successful career, putting out another solo studio album and several mixtapes throughout the rest of the 2000s and 2010s. This doesn’t count the dozens of features she’s done with big names in rap like Gucci Mane, Lil Jon, OutKast, E-40, T.I., The Game, and many more.
She also rapped well into the 2020s, often with Killer Mike and El-P as part of their hip-hop duo Run The Jewels. Gangsta Boo also kept working with different media outlets, like UPROXX and others, to release music.
Gangsta Boo was an important part of the Memphis community and music scene, and the people there seemed to love him. She was using social media not too long ago.

Lola Chantrelle Mitchell was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 7, 1979. She died on January 1, 2023, and was better known by her stage name, Gangsta Boo. She was the second woman to join the Memphis-based hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia. The first was K-9. She left the group and label sometime in 2002, a few months after her second album, Both Worlds *69, came out.
This was because of problems with money and how to promote her album. She then put out mixtapes with artists like La Chat and Yelawolf and some music by herself. She was on albums by being clipped. Run the Jewels, and Run the Jewels. She has been called the first woman to make rap music.
