Fortnite’s Next Concert Features The Kid Laroi

Another big name in music is coming to Fortnite. Epic announced today that the next virtual music experience for the game would feature The Kid Laroi, and it will start soon: the “immersive, interactive musical experience” will begin on January 27th at 6 PM ET.

It will be a little different from events with Travis Scott and Ariana Grande, who took over the Fortnite battle royale island for a huge show. Instead, the Kid Laroi event will happen on a Creative island built especially for it.

Epic says the event will look at the singer’s “journey from humble beginnings to headlining sold-out performances as a worldwide superstar.”

It sounds like a mix of the big “takeover” concerts and the smaller “Soundwave” concerts. At the virtual event, a new song called “Love Again” will be released. Fans will also be able to buy a Laroi character skin and other in-game items.

With its Marshmello event in 2019, Fortnite helped start a wave of virtual concerts, but since then, they seem to have slowed down a lot. Last year’s biggest event was when K-pop superstars Blackpink played in PUBG Mobile.

From January 27 to April 27, the Kid Laroi music event will be available in Fortnite.
