We heard that Don was on season 6 of “The Amazing Race” in 2004 and had been sick recently. Doctors checked him out and found nothing wrong… So, his death surprised his family.
Don and his wife, Mary Jean, worked together to… They lost in Germany and ended up in eighth place.
Outside his reality TV fame, Don was a well-known doctor in Northern California. He worked as an internist in Palo Alto for 40 years and was on the clinical faculty at Stanford University. Don and Mary Jean took their family on trips worldwide, away from the eyes of CBS cameras. He once got an award for being the International Winemaker of the Year.
