Doctor Who Season 13 Plot

Season 13 of Doctor Who is a unique story for the show. Since the show was restarted in 2005, this is the first time that all of the episodes in a season tell the same story. In other seasons, there have been episodes with one, two, or three parts, but all six parts of Season 13 told the same story. The season even had a name for itself: “Flux.”

The only story in Season 13 is about the universe-ending anomaly that gives the season its name. It sends the Doctor, Yaz, and Dan, his new friend, all over space and time. Several of the Doctor’s enemies from the past, like the Weeping Angels, the Daleks, and the Cybermen, all try to take over the Earth at the same time. The mysterious Division, which was introduced in Season 11, is also explained more in Season 13.

Doctor Who Season 13 Cast

For her third season as The Doctor, Jodie Whitaker came back. Yasmin Khan, played by Mandip Gill, also came back. Sadly, that was the last thing that stayed the same from last season. During the “Revolution of the Daleks” Christmas episode, Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole left the show. Instead, John Bishop joined as Dan Lewis.

Captain Jack Harkness, who was a fan favorite, also came back for the Christmas episode. In Season 12’s “The Lone Cyberman,” Captain Jack, played by John Barrowman with lovable smarm, made a short appearance and gave a scary warning. Jo Martin as the Fugitive Doctor (who was last seen in Season 12’s “The Timeless Children”) and Jemma Redgrave as U.N.I.T. member Kate Lethbridge-Stewart will also be back for Season 13.

When Was The Doctor who Renewed For Season 13?

Early in 2020, showrunner Chris Chibnall told Entertainment Weekly that he would be in charge of the thirteenth season with the thirteenth Doctor. This confirmed the news about Doctor Who Season 13.

But all those 13s have led to a bad sign: Chris Chibnall told Radio Times that Season 13 will have fewer episodes than Season 12 because of COVID-19 restrictions on filming in the UK.
