Cole Swindell Fiancée Shines With Stunning Ring At ACM Awards

Cole Swindell and Courtney Little have announced their engagement!

On Thursday, the country artist and his new fiancée walked the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet, kissing while Little, 24, showed off her engagement ring.

Swindell, 39, proposed to Little on Sunday at their first dαte site a farm north of Nashville, Tennessee and she accepted. “It’s hard to say how happy I am,” he said earlier this week to PEOPLE.

“I feel like I’m very fortunate to be where I am in my career, but I feel like I’ve missed out on many real-life moments,” the “Never Say Never,” singer remarked. “I’m just glad to have someone to talk to about everything.” She improves me, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life.”

He told Little’s father about his plans a few weeks before the proposal. “That’s probably the most nervous I’ve ever been because he’s such a great man,” Swindell said of his upcoming father-in-law.

“I can’t wait to become a member of her family.” She came from a good family, which made it so terrifying. “I can’t imagine being a father and having that conversation with my daughter,” he continued.

The singer-songwriter pondered proposing in Dallas during the ACM Awards festivities this week, but he eventually chose the farm because of their connection to the location. The couple’s first dαte occurred on the farm for Swindell’s “Some Habits” video shoot, in which Little starred.

“She recognized the location,” he said. “She was probably aware of what was happening at the time.” I took her hand and walked for what seemed like an eternity. It was probably only a minute or so.”

Swindell asked Little if she remembered the spot, and he told her how precious it was to him.

“At that point, I just couldn’t wait any longer,” he explained. “I found a little spot right there in the field off the side of the gravel drive and hit a knee.”

At this year’s ceremony, Swindell is nominated for four awards, including single of the year, song of the year, and visual media of the year for “She Had Me at Heads Carolina,” as well as music event of the year for the song’s remix with Jo Dee Messina, whose 1996 single “Heads Carolina, Tails California” is sampled in the hit.

The duo will perform the remix during the evening, which is co-hosted by Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton.

The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards will be televised live from Frisco, Texas’ Ford Center at The Star on Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and available exclusively on Prime Video.
