It is about Philo, played by Orlando Bloom, a half-blood detective who is looking into a string of brutal murders. The detective’s life is made even more complicated by his relationship with Vignette Stonemoss, a fae played by Cara Delevingne. She is keeping a secret that could threaten the already fragile peace of society. “(Season 2) picks up with former inspector Rycroft Philostrate a.k.a. Philo (Orlando Bloom) investigating a series of gruesome murders stoking social tension. Carnival Row Won’t Get A Third Season

Travis Beacham, who was the show’s executive producer and whose 2005 screenplay “A Killing on Carnival Row” was turned into the Prime Video series, is probably disappointed that the show only lasted two seasons. This was because of the pandemic. The show had to get past a lot of problems to get to this point, where it will end after two seasons.

Beacham and Rene Echevarria adapted the book into a TV show. Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris all have roles in the movie Carnival Row.
