Following this, Ford’s daughter established a GoFundMe campaign in her father’s name so that he might earn a more substantial prize for his almost thirty years of service at the burger company. She had initially set the objective aim for the campaign at $200; but, as of the 4th of July, it has raised more than $328,000 so far.

When Ford was flown out to New York City on Tuesday for a TV appearance, he was granted his request to see his grandkids, which had been a longtime goal of his. After an absence of more than four years without seeing his grandkids, he was able to see them again during a live broadcast.

During the course of the interview, he shared the following statement: “I’ve been sobbing for all these days as it is, and of course, I’m crying live on TV again seeing my grandbabies.”

One of the over 11,000 contributions made on GoFundMe comes from actor David Spade, who contributed $5,000 of his own money. Additionally, Spade spoke with Ford through a private message on Instagram. Ford said that he has not given any thought to the question of how he would spend his newfound wealth.
“You can never tell. My situation is precarious but other than spending some time with my grandchildren and perhaps setting up some money for their future education, I haven’t given any consideration to how I would spend that money.
