For quite some time, people have been debating who is the greatest basketball player of all time. The conversation frequently revolves around LeBron James and Michael Jordan, with a few other names tossed in for good measure, but NBA Draft prospect Brandon Miller just threw a name out there.
Miller was questioned if the GOAT argument was exaggerated during a press conference ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft in New York.
Miller claimed those arguments don’t concern him since he believes Paul George, not James or Jordan, is the GOAT of basketball.
“I actually don’t think LeBron is the GOAT of basketball,” Miller explained. “My GOAT of basketball is Paul George. I grew up watching him, so it was never just LeBron.”

George, who is presently a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, has had an outstanding NBA career to date. However, it would be difficult to find anyone who believes he is the best player to ever play in the NBA.
George has averaged 20.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in 13 NBA seasons. Unlike Jordan and James, George has no MVPs or NBA titles to his name.
Miller may have to explain himself to James on the court next season, but for now, he’s probably more concerned with whatever team will call his name on Thursday.
Colin Ward-Henninger of CBS Sports predicts Miller will be selected third overall by the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night.
