Bobby Caldwell, whose real name was Robert Hunter Caldwell, was born on August 15, 1951, in the United States. Both of Robert Hunter Caldwell’s parents worked in the music industry. Bobby Caldwell Career
Caldwell was a member of the Miami-based band Katmandu. They composed much of their music, but they also performed traditional songs. Caldwell’s first big break came in the early 1970s when he was Little Richard’s rhythm guitarist. He spent six years in Los Angeles playing in various bar bands while trying to get a record deal. He signed with T.K. Records in Miami in 1978.
