The Honor

The Glory is a dark K-drama about revenge that came out on the last day of 2022. However, most people didn’t watch it until January, and the second half of the show comes out in March 2023, so it’s technically a 2023 series.

As Dong-eun, the main character, Song Hye-Kyo is a force. When Dong-eun was in high school, a group of bullies beat her up very badly. Since then, she has vowed to get even with all of them, but especially with Yeon-jin, who was the leader of the group (Lim Ji-yeon).

The first eight episodes of The Glory are now out, and the show has been in Netflix’s Top 10 chart ever since it started. Part 1 can be a little slow at times, but it sets up Part 2 beautifully, and we can’t wait to see how Dong-eun finally gets her revenge.

Ginny & Georgia Season 2

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch Ginny & Georgia after some cringe-worthy scenes from the first season went viral, but I’m glad I did. Ginny & Georgia is a great show, but those parts are the only bad ones. Also, season 2 is even better than the first.

It’s one of the few shows I’ve seen handle sensitive topics like mental health, depression, trauma, therapy, and self-harm with real care. I’m not too surprised by that because the show’s creator, Sarah Lampert, recently said that they have a licenced psychiatrist look over every script to make sure they’re handling the subject matter with tact and care. It’s a long way from something like 13 Reasons Why, which was pointless and bad.

I think you should try Ginny & Georgia if you have been on the fence about it. Ginny, Georgia, and Ginny’s best friend, Max, are played by Antonia Gentry, Brianne Howey, and Sara Waisglass, who stand out from the rest of the cast. Max’s personality can be hard to deal with, and some people find her annoying, but I think Waisglass is great and really steals the show. Also, it’s always nice to see more lesbian characters in teen dramas.
