Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Release Date For PS5

The upcoming Ubisoft game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will take us into the world of one of the most popular movies of all time. Players will be dropped into the rich and colorful world of Pandora, where they will have their own story in the fight between the native Na’vi and the humans who have come to take over. We expect it to show off what the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 can do because it will use the latest version of Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine for the latest consoles.

We still have a lot to learn about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but the game is coming out at an excellent time for the series. Avatar: The Way of Water, the first of four new Avatar movies, is set to come out in December 2022. Frontiers of Pandora is expected to come out the same year, but no exact date has been set yet.

We haven’t heard much about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for a while, but we hope that will change now that it’s finally coming out. Read on to learn everything about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora that we know so far.

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Release Date And Platforms

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will come out for PS5, Xbox S/X, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna sometime in 2022.

Frontiers of Pandora was officially shown off at E3 2021 as part of Ubisoft’s Ubisoft Forward showcase. We were all a little surprised, but we’re still waiting for Ubisoft to tell us when the game will be out. We learned from GameSpot that the game was pushed back into Ubisoft’s financial year starting in April 2022 because the movie Avatar 2 was also pushed back.

The second movie is now called Avatar: The Way of Water. It comes out on December 16, 2022. But it hasn’t been said if Frontiers of Pandora will come out around the same time. Since another Ubisoft game, Skull and Bones, comes out on November 8, we don’t think the French company would put these two games out too close together.

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Trailers

Tech Showcase
Ubisoft released a tech showcase for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. It doesn’t show any new footage from the game but a little about what the team wants to do with the new version of the Snowdrop engine.

The first trailer
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was unexpectedly announced at E3 2021 at Ubisoft’s Ubisoft Forward event, and it will be out in 2022. We knew that an Avatar game was being made, but we didn’t think it would come out so soon. The trailer gives us a look at Pandora, which, with its strange animals and thriving plants and animals, might look even more beautiful than it did in the 2009 movie.

But not everything is great in Pandora. The RDA, which stands for the Resources Development Administration, wants to put the world and the people in it in danger. But the Na’vi aren’t just going to give up. Watch the trailer down below:

Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Gameplay And Story

We don’t know much about the gameplay and story of Frontiers of Pandora, but we’ve been able to piece together a few clues from the reveal trailer and Ubisoft’s website.

The game’s official site calls it a “first-person action adventure” that takes place in an “immersive, open world,” and the trailer gives us a quick look at what it’s like to play from this point of view. We also see a Na’vi riding a mount that doesn’t quite look like a Direhorse. This suggests that we might be able to fight on horseback or at least get around Pandora in a horse-like way.

The world also seems full of things we’ve seen in the movie and things we haven’t seen in the film, so be ready for some surprises. There also seems to be a place where Na’vi comes together. We hope this means online play, and we also want to be able to change how our Na’vi look.

From the trailer, it also seems like Pandora’s native Na’vi will fight against the RDA, which, like in the movie, wants to destroy their world and has a lot of armed technology at its disposal. This trailer shows RDA helicopters trying to kill a Na’vi while on the warpath. The Na’vi jump on a Great Leonopteryx and start shooting arrows at the helicopter. The last arrow, equipped with an explosive device, hits the helicopter and sets it on fire.

That doesn’t mean that the game won’t have its own story. In an interview with VentureBeat, Luigi Priore, vice president of Disney and Pixar Games, said that Frontiers of Pandora will skip over the characters and plot of the first Avatar movie and its upcoming sequel. Instead, it will tell a completely new story.

“Playing the movie was a big deal 15 or 20 years ago. Priore said, “You bought the game and watched the movie.”

“Games like the classic Sega Genesis Aladdin game. You watched the movie. At the time, people liked that, but now gamers want more. They want to play with their favorite characters and worlds, but they also want to play new stories with those characters and worlds and do new things with them. The whole point is for it to be part of that huge Pandora franchise, but it’s not a “play the movie” game. It has a brand-new open world and brand-new characters “Priore added.

“It’s called Frontiers of Pandora because of this. It takes place on a different frontier, in a different part of Pandora’s moon.”

The game’s official website says that players will be taken into a “standalone story” “You can play as a Na’vi and go on a journey across the Western Frontier, a part of Pandora that has never been seen before. Explore a world that is alive and changing, full of unique creatures and new characters, and fight off the powerful RDA forces trying to take it over.”
