On that day, his sentence was suspended. What happened between then and now is explained here.

5-7 July: Pulls Out Of UK festivals

After he is arrested, Swedish authorities will keep ASAP in jail for two weeks, which will mess up his plans for his tour. A few days after he was arrested, ASAP was set to perform at the Longitude Festival in Dublin and the Wireless Festival in London. The last-minute replacements for Wireless were J-Hus and Rae Sremmurd, and Stormzy was asked to perform at Poland’s Open’er Festival. Longitude asked Ski Mask The Slump God to play there.

9 July: Rumours About Prison Conditions

The American celebrity gossip website TMZ has called the Kronoberg remand prison, where ASAP is being held right now, “shockingly harsh,” based on claims from anonymous sources. But the jail’s warden says that these reports aren’t true. He says that the jail is in “excellent shape” after a recent renovation and that every inmate has access to a bed and a TV. On the other hand, ASAP Ferg, who is a member of the group ASAP Mob, says that Rocky is being held in solitary confinement.

19 July: Police Look Into A Possible Victim

Even though ASAP and his crew are the ones who have been arrested, the fight is thought to have happened with one of the other two men who are being looked into by the police. The Swedish government is looking into claims that he was abused, attacked, and tried to be attacked.

19 July: A Victim Of ‘Systemic Racism’?

Other rappers have also broken the law in Sweden besides ASAP. Gerald Earl Gillum, who is better known by his stage name G-Eazy, was arrested in Sweden in 2018 for assault, drug possession, and drug use. G-Eazy pleaded guilty and was given probation, a $10,000 fine, and was let out of jail after being there for a day and a half.

19 July: Donald Trump Gets Involved

Donald Trump has said that he is trying to get ASAP Rocky out of jail in Sweden, where he has been for two weeks. Officials in Sweden have decided to keep the rapper in jail for another week.

After talking to Kanye West, he tweets that he has talked to the Swedish Prime Minister. This tweet came from a conversation with Kanye West. When Mr. Trump finds out he can’t get ASAP’s release right away, he gets very angry. Carl Bildt, who used to be Sweden’s prime minister, said that Trump’s efforts to change how ASAP is treated would be pointless.

24 July: How Mom Feels

The Swedish newspaper Expressen talked to Renee Black, the mother of ASAP, in New York at the end of July. During the interview, she talked about how worried she was about her son. “He was just telling me that he doesn’t eat enough to keep his weight steady. He’s keeping track of the minutes until he can go back to the gym. “She tells the paper.”

“Everything is being recorded. They tried many times to get away from it, but no matter what they did, they were still followed and tortured. Roll it up into a ball and throw it away since it’s just trash, to begin with.”

25 July 2019: Police Formally Charge ASAP With Assault

After keeping him in jail for the first time for three weeks, Swedish officials decided that there is enough evidence to charge him ASAP with an assault that caused real bodily harm. Two other men arrested at the same time as him have also been charged with assault. The Swedish prosecutor tells Radio 1 Newsbeat that the videos seen on ASAP Rocky’s Instagram are just one piece of evidence in the case.

Daniel Suneson, who is defending himself in court, says about CCTV footage, “Part of my evidence is a number of films that I will show in court. Some are well-known and others are not.” Mr. Suneson says that one of the reasons why ASAP has been locked up for so long is that there are worries that the three suspects will “leave the country” if they are let go. Because of this fear, ASAP has been in jail for a long time. At first, the investigation was focused on two alleged victims. However, “due to a lack of supporting evidence,” the claims about one of the victims were eventually thrown out.

30 July: ASAP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty

The trial of ASAP starts. The trial is supposed to last for three days, but it doesn’t start right away because the media and fans are so interested in the case. He and the two other men who were arrested with him have both said they are not guilty. The media hears for the first time that the prosecution says something that looked like a bottle was used in the attack. As part of the case against ASAP, this evidence is being shown.

1 August 2019: ASAP Goes To Court

ASAP will have a chance to present their evidence the very next day. In front of the Stockholm District Court, he says, “We could have done a million different things, but we chose to leave.” He also says he wants to clear his name and that the guys who fought with his group in July make him feel scared. “It started to get a little scary for us. When I saw these guys, I couldn’t help but think they must have been high on something, so I assumed they were “he explains.

During the trial, the prosecution will show CCTV footage of ASAP holding a glass bottle. However, ASAP will say that he only held the bottle for a short time during the fight. He says that he didn’t use it with the intention of hurting the person he said he did it too.

2 August 2019: ASAP Goes Home

On August 2, he was finally allowed to leave the country. Before that, there had been worries that he would leave. He says that his time in a Swedish prison was “challenging and humbling.” Today, on Wednesday, he will find out if he has to stay in jail longer. The prosecution has asked that ASAP be given an extra six months behind bars.
Reuters said that being allowed to go home could mean that the person was found not guilty or that their sentence was less than the time they had already served. ASAP has gone back to his regular job since he got back to the U.S. He will perform for the first time in more than a month at the Real Street Festival in Anaheim, California.

14 August: ASAP Is Found Guilty

Six weeks after he was first arrested, ASAP was found guilty of assault for his part in the fight in Stockholm and given a suspended sentence. This is the fault of the MC, Bladimir Corniel, and David Rispers. “As the helpless victim lay on the ground, the attacker punched and kicked him. The artist also pushed the victim to the ground and stepped on his arm while doing so, according to the court’s decision. The defense says that the people who are being charged are not guilty.
