The “Ambulance” Ending Has Been Explained

Well, as seen, both Danny and Will have managed to escape the police after they take the aid of Papi (A Martinez) who acted as the former partner to their father. He helped them in evading the situation by letting loose many ambulances going in all directions and blocking the roads.

The police finally lose the trace of the main “Ambulance”. Ultimately, they took shelter in Papi’s hideout on the agreement that the brothers will be paying a good half of the $16 million.

But the twist was that Papi’s son, unfortunately, lost his life when facing the police. So, Papi is now demanding not only money but also blood. He stated that the EMT along with the injured must be left with him. Whole Danny agreed to this, but Will was strictly against it.

As the end of “Ambulance” nears, the brothers would either have to fight against each other or support. Danny agrees to support Will and then they go to the ambulance. Sadly, Will gets shot by Cam who was the EMT with Checkov’s Glock.

When Will was being taken to the hospital, he gives the pack of the stolen money and asks Cam to hand it over to his wife. Danny later realizes that the gun that Will was shot by was actually of a cop, and he threatens to take the life of the cop. In the meantime, Cam entered the scene and confessed that she was the one who accidentally shot her.

Later things turned around and Danny took Cam hostage. His initial plan was to seek help for his brother by placing Cam at the gunpoint. Police snipers were surrounding the “Ambulance” but ultimately, Danny was shot from behind. And guess what, it was Will who shot Danny.

Danny died instantly but Will was still alive. The cops were not paying interest but Cam convinced the cops that it was Will who helped her in staying alive. Will was rushed to the emergency room.

In the end, Will was under the constant eye of police guards and was very much alive. Cam gave Will’s wife the money he had stolen. Even officer Zach claimed that Will was the one who saved him. Clearly, Zach lied since Will was the one who shot Zach for saving Danny

As the “Ambulance” ends, the audiences see Cam as “somebody who had previously only seen her occupation as a job, without emotionally investing in it” and “ she visits a girl who she helped save early in the film, and clearly has a new outlook on her own life following this ordeal”.

The storyline may have been complicated. But with “Ambulance”, Michael Bay has proved again why he is the master.
