A person who tried to sneak an AK-style assault rifle out of the country was stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Port Director Michael W. Humphries confirms that an officer ran into a person on Saturday, January 21, while doing their normal work.
The person wore skinny jeans and a jacket that was too big for them. But the officers must have seen a bump sticking out of the left side of the pants.
When they told the person to unzip the puffer jacket, the rest of the AK-style assault rifle was revealed.
