Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp’s Release Date

In its annual report for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, Nintendo said that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is not on the list of games that will be released in 2022. However, a number of other games are still on track for that date.

The remake of the first two Advance Wars games just says “To Be Announced” next to its launch date in its launch schedule. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was supposed to come out on December 3, but then the date was changed to April 8.

Back in March, Nintendo put the game on hold indefinitely, citing “recent world events” as the reason. This was likely a reference to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The publisher hasn’t announced a new release date yet, but that hasn’t stopped at least one person from playing a pre-loaded copy that was installed before the delay was announced.

Even though it’s not clear what will happen with Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, Nintendo still has a lot of great games coming out this year. Some of these games are Mario Strikers: Battle League, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Bayonetta 3.

Indie games will be talked about in a Nintendo Direct on May 11, and there are still rumors that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will be the last game of the year. Nintendo’s business is also doing well, as the company has sold more than 107 million Switch consoles and 822,18 million game units.

The best-selling Switch game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, is responsible for at least 45 million of these sales.
