A Woman’s Body Was Found Dead Close to the Disneyland Parking Structure

A woman was discovered unconscious on the evening of Saturday, February 18, next to a Disneyland parking garage. Officials later revealed that she died from injuries sustained in a fall from the Mickey & Friends parking structure. For some readers, the article’s discussion of suicide death may be upsetting. It’s best to use caution.

Authorities think the woman either fell off or leaped from the seven-story-tall Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, according to WDWInfo. Sergeant Jon McClintlock of the Anaheim Police Department claims that the body was first reported to them at 6:50 p.m.

She was declared dead at the nearby hospital soon after Anaheim Fire and Rescue arrived and provided aid. Authorities have not said who the woman is nor whether she was a visitor to Disneyland at the time of the event.

According to Fox Business, the seven-story Mickey & Friends building was one of the enormous parking structures created at the time of its completion in 2000. With a height restriction of 13 feet and 10 inches, the structure can accommodate more than 10,000 automobiles.

Suicides and accidental deaths are not unfamiliar at Disneyland in Anaheim

Just three months prior, a 51-year-old elementary school principal is said to have killed himself by jumping to his death on December 3, 2022, in the Mickey & Friends parking structure itself. Elevators and escalators were shut off for the evening following the incident.

According to Marca, the principal left behind a Facebook message in which he claimed that the reason for his suicide was that he was being investigated for child endangerment and violence following a violent dispute with his wife.

The note read:

“I hate when people leave this Earth with so many unanswered questions. So, I hope this provides some insight and perspective. This is my wife, Marlena. Yes, you heard me correctly. Most of you don’t know this but we privately married 3 years ago.”

It continued:

“Marlena and I love and adore each other and our relationship has been amazing … up until recently. Unfortunately, two weeks ago she and I got into a heated argument at home in front of the girls. Tempers were flared and strong words were exchanged. However, never in this exchange did I hit, slap, or hurt Marlena in any manner.”

On October 17, 2010, a 61-year-old man committed his first death at Disneyland, linked to the Mickey & Friends Parking structure. He leaped from the seventh floor. The body of a 23-year-old man was discovered nearby on April 2, 2012, but authorities could not determine whether or not it was a suicide.

At least three suicides have occurred in the Disneyland Hotel and the deaths near the parking structure. In the most recent case, a 48-year-old man fell off the Wonder Tower’s 14th-floor balcony on May 2, 2008.
