Officer Truman Fitzgerald said that when North Precinct officers arrived, they found what they think is an adult male who was not moving in the alley across the street from the club. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service said the person was dead at the scene.

Fitzgerald said that the police think the victim was at the club when there was a fight. Shell casings found at the scene of the crime show that the shots that killed him were fired in the alley.
