Sunday night, a gunman opened fire in an Atlanta park, killing one person and leaving a 6-year-old child in critical condition.
During the 7 p.m. shooting, a man in his 30s was shot and killed, and five other people, including a child, were hit by gunfire.

A fight broke out during a game of baseball or softball in Rosa L. Burney park, which led to the shooting.

Atlanta PD Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. told NBC affiliate 11Alive News, “Like we’ve said a million times, all we’re asking is for people to find a way to solve problems without weapons.”

The 6-year-old is in very bad shape at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston Hospital, the news source said.
