A shooting early Saturday morning in the New City neighborhood hurt a 3-year-old boy and a 52-year-old man.
As per the report Around 2 a.m., the man was parking his car in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue when someone in a light green SUV started shooting at him and the toddler in the backseat.

Police said that the man was scratched on the side of his body and the child was scratched on his left shoulder.
Police said they were both in good shape at Holy Cross Hospital, where they were taken.
Nobody was in custody.
